About me

I am is a patient expert who offers patient insight in the healthcare sector.

I have worked in marketing, advertising and research roles for over 30 years. In 2011, I survived a life-threatening cerebral stroke, and I’m determined to find value in my fourteen years of rehabilitation which included over a year of in-patient care in hospitals.

Marketing

I am a qualified marketing practitioner who received an award from The Worshipful Company of Marketors for Best Performance nationally when I completed the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s (CIM) Intensive Diploma Course in 1996.

I worked in Advertising effectiveness research for IPC Magazines and Taylor Nelson (now Kantar) in London, before moving to work locally as Marketing Manager for Trinity Theatre in Tunbridge Wells.

I recommend marketing agency Colley Raine & Associates for their expertise and services.

Volunteering

I consider volunteering to be an important route for self-development and a way to contribute to the local community. I co-ordinate the West Kent Different Strokes Peer Support Group which I founded in 2018 as an autonomous group within the governance of the national charity Different Strokes.

I volunteer as Publicity Officer for the Tunbridge Wells Access Group. I am an Accessibility Advocate, advising local businesses on how they can remove barriers to allow participation for all, regardless of disability.

I also volunteer as a contributor to King’s Neurosciences Outreach Delivery Network.
