Accessibility advocate

I work to make Tunbridge Wells a beacon of accessibility. It will be good for businesses, customers and employees for the town to be known for its accessibility.

My experience of disability has given me first- hand experience of the problems faced by people who live with disability.

Assembly Hall Theatre

I became Accessibility Advocate for The Assembly Hall Theatre in 2018.

My mission was to inform customers about how the theatre makes adjustments to remove barriers to enable disabled customers to enjoy their shows.

I wrote a series of blogposts :

Relaxed performances cater for autism

Signed performances for hearing-impairment

Accessibility for reduced mobility/ wheelchair-enabled

Financial exclusion Go! Card and group bookings. (Links to follow)

TW and Area Access Group

In 2024 I became volunteer Publicity Officer for TW & Area Access Group

We developed a guide to Accessibility with the business investment district (BID). This guide is available for you to download it here: Accessibility Report
